I am pleased to announce that we recently released a major upgrade to the Auctiva Commerce search function. We are now utilizing a full text search which provides much more robust and efficient search capabilities. Your buyers should now find it much easier to locate the items they are looking for in your store(s) – hopefully leading to greater sales for you!! We are going to continue to work on refining the search function and will be adding further upgrades in the future.

I am finally tweaking the site for on-line operations. Among problems I have been unable to fix is irregular results with the search widget. Specifically, I am failing to obtain some search items which I know have appropriate keywords. Often the advanced search yields different results than the simple search. An example is finding items with the numeral 5 (no asterisk), where the advanced search may not only find items bearing numeral 5 (missed by simple search), but will also identify numerals 15, 25, etc.
Also, I would like to modify categories within the sort function. I know the list can be modified, but have not found instructions relating to how it’s done.
Ideas anyone?
